What is Music Motive?
“We believe in music miracles! Music Motive offers private lessons and courses for just about every musical instrument! Our Certified Instructors teach a consistent quality, unmatched in SLO County.
Music Motive’s famous Bucket Busters, whose energetic performances thrill crowds all over the Central Coast and raise music scholarship money for kids who otherwise could not afford music lessons.
We also host Music Enrichment Classes at most elementary schools throughout the county – Guitar!, Drum!, Sing!, Piano!, and Drama!
Other happenings and events include performance opportunities like, Student Spotlight, Band Jam, an weekly activities like Percussion Break drum circle. 2nd Saturday Showcase is an exciting monthly event offering a variety of music experiences. All of our programs are specifically designed to give our students an opportunity to stretch, learn, and be inspired. “

Scholarship Program
A limited number of scholarships are available to kids in San Luis Obispo County or Santa Maria under the age of 18 who have the desire to play a musical instrument but would otherwise not have the opportunity to take music lessons. Scholarship money is provided by Music Motive, private donations, and Bucket Busters fund raising including the sale of their CD, “Trash Talk“.
How can someone donate to the scholarship fund?
1) You can make a one time donation for any amount.
2) Sponsor a child by paying the monthly tuition for a specific or random student.
3) Donate a used musical instrument to be sold at Music Motive. 100% goes toward music scholarships!
