This always comes up around cold and flu season, but I was recently reminded of it when a dear friend of mine expressed that his wife was ill. This immune boosting tea has become a staple in our family at the first signs of illness but till now I have never written it in proper form as a recipe. Drink this tea two times daily when you’re sick and it will keep you well-hydrated and give your immune system a serious boost to naturally fight illness and recover faster.

Ingredients

1 1/2 TBSP Freshly Grated Ginger Root

4 TBSP Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

3 TBSP Dark Honey (darker the better)

Directions

1. Boil your water. Then, pour it into a container and cover it. Let it steep for 20 minutes.

2. Pour the contents into a Mug. Enjoy your drink! The ginger may sink to the bottom, but you can strain it while pouring into the mug if you prefer.

This recipe can make enough tea to keep in a thermos and have it throughout the day.
